Nursing Services
Nurses make the world of difference.
Our nurses put their passion into practice every day: supporting you to keep well and do the things you love. They’re often the first people you’ll talk to, and the ones who follow up with you to make sure things are going to plan.

Health for good!
What our nurses do

You'll see them for:
Our practice nurses provide wound care, dressings, suture removal, ear syringing, and immunisations. They also support you with chronic disease management, health checks, and lifestyle changes.

Supporting Your Care
Our nurses work alongside your doctor when you need additional support. They might spend time with you gathering health information, explaining how to manage a new condition, or checking in after a procedure. They provide health education and help you understand your treatment plan.

Chronic Disease Management
Your Care Team
How it works
You, your doctor, and your nurse work as a team. When you see the same people consistently, they know you. They know what normal looks like for you. They are alert when something changes.
That’s when the trust you’ve built over time really matters. When things feel different, your team listens and acts quickly.
Want to make this work best?
Tell reception your preferred doctor and nurse. Seeing the same team every time makes it easier to work on your health goals together.
Getting in touch
You can call our nurses anytime with questions about your health or new medications. Just ring the clinic or drop in, and reception will connect you with someone who can help.
Treatment Room Nurses
Our practice nurses provide wound care, dressings, suture removal, and immunisations.
They also manage urgent care triage, urine testing, iron infusions, and follow-up calls after procedures or hospital stays.
Our nurses work alongside your doctor to support your care, whether that’s providing health education, helping you understand a new diagnosis, or coordinating ongoing management.

Our Nursing Team
Our practice nurses are essential partners in your care.
They work alongside your doctor to help you manage chronic conditions, understand your health, and make changes that stick.
Our nurses take time to listen and understand what matters to you, providing the support and information you need.
Whether you’re seeing a nurse for wound care, immunisations, or ongoing condition management, you’ll be treated as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms or tasks to complete.
Why continuity matters
Staying well can be complicated and sometimes, confusing. There are many moving parts. Our nurses work with your doctor, you and your family to ensure it all comes together.
That’s what they’re here for – education, coordination and care.
Nurses have always played a special part in making sure patients to feel seen and looked after. They’ll help you feel the strength of the whole team behind you. What can be better than that?
Our Nurses
“Even though we do research and all these new things, we’ve always had the feeling of a family practice — comfort, building trust, knowing generations of the same family. As nurses, we know we’re part of something that genuinely helps.”
Chris Bowering, Sandstone Nurse (retired)

If you’re managing an ongoing condition like heart disease, diabetes, or asthma, regular nurse appointments help you stay on track.
You’ll spend time working through your health plan together, tracking progress, adjusting what’s not working, and building skills to manage your condition.
Your nurse will monitor relevant health measures, ask about lifestyle factors and medications, screen for complications, and coordinate with other services.
If you’re caring for someone else, they’ll advocate for you and your family too.
